    Terms & Conditions of Hiring

    Hire conditions, policies, and responsibilities for using 3Danks.

    Leaving the Studio / Venue

    If you are the last person in the premises, follow the hire instructions provided (www.3danks.com.au/hire-instructions) and close the roller door. Failure to do so results in a fine of $650 + GST.

    Ensure all lights, fans, heaters, and air-conditioners are turned off before leaving the studio.

    Studio Times & Bump In/Out

    Arrive 15 minutes early to access the premises but wait until your booked time to enter the studio.

    Leave the studio (including equipment and belongings) by the end of your hire period.

    Include bump-in and bump-out in your booked time; hires are back-to-back.

    Overstays are charged at $50 + GST per 15 minutes.

    Additional Extra Charges

    • Events between 40–100 people: $150 + GST plus $220 + GST cleaning fee.
    • Events over 100 people: $250 + GST plus $440 + GST cleaning fee.

    Public Event Promotion

    Send advertisement artwork, description, and link to hello@3danks.com.au so the event can be promoted on the website and socials.

    Venue Staff

    3Danks is a dry-hire venue; instructions will be provided for opening/closing and equipment use.

    AV Tech Staff

    Email to discuss if you require AV tech support. There is no dedicated AV staff member on site.

    Catering

    If your event is catered, a cleaning charge of $220 + GST applies. If over 40 people, the cleaning charge is not applied twice.

    Call Out Fee

    If venue staff need to attend for any non-emergency issue, a $300 + GST call-out plus $50 + GST per 15 minutes applies (includes responses to neighbour complaints).

    Noise Complaints

    If a noise complaint is received, the booking may be shut down immediately and charged $300 + GST. If ignored, an additional $200 + GST may be charged.

    Equipment

    Audio, lighting, and furniture on-site are included in your hire. Email for any lighting repositioning or reprogramming needs.

    Cancellation Policy

    Where a formal Venue Hire Agreement exists, that agreement takes precedence over this policy.

    All cancellation requests must be emailed to hello@3danks.com.au.

    • Within 1 month: 25% charged, balance refunded. If rescheduled within 3 months, no penalty.
    • Within 14 days: 50% charged, 50% refunded. If rescheduled within 3 months, only 25% charged.
    • Within 7 days: 100% charged. If rescheduled within 3 months, 50% charged.

    Conditions of Hire

    Use of Smoke / Haze

    • Cannot be used unless a 3Danks Fire Warden isolates the building and is present.
    • Using smoke/haze without this will trigger alarms; a $500 + GST fine plus the fire brigade call-out fee of $2000 + GST applies.

    Public Liability Insurance

    • For all public events, the hirer must hold public liability insurance to the value of $20 million.

    Use of Tape on Floors

    • Do not use tape that leaves marks or residue. Cleaning charges of $400 + GST apply if residue remains.

    Use of Props

    • Ensure props have floor protection to avoid scratches/marks. Cleaning charges of $400 + GST apply if marks are left.

    Leaving the Studio

    • If last in the premises, follow the hire instructions and close the roller door; failure incurs a $650 + GST fine.
    • Turn off all lights, fans, heaters, and air-conditioners before leaving.

    Cleaning

    • Leave the studio tidy with all rubbish removed.
    • Confetti, rice, or glitter must not be used without permission and associated cleaning charges.
    • Return all furniture used. If left unsuitable, a cleaning fee between $220–$440 + GST may be charged.

    Prohibited

    • Smoking inside the premises.
    • Consuming alcohol unless pre-authorised by 3Danks management.
    • Candles or incense.
    • Nails, screws, tape, or other fastenings attached to walls or furniture.
    • Parties breaching conditions incur a $2000 + GST charge, including: excessive noise; unauthorised speakers/microphones/DJs/sound equipment; alcohol, smoking, or illicit drugs without approval; exceeding the agreed guest limit.

    Noise Restrictions

    • Music must cease by 9:30pm (Monday–Sunday).
    • Noise must remain at a reasonable level that does not disturb neighbours.
    • In-house speakers and stage lighting in Studio A shut off automatically at 9:35pm.

    Terms

    • The Licensor manages the care, promotion, and financial management of 3Danks (the Centre).
    • By hiring 3Danks and receiving this document, you agree to these terms. If you disagree, email hello@3danks.com.au at least 48 hours before your booking.
    • Hirers must be 18+ and may only use the venue for the stated purpose.
    • Owners or representatives may access the premises at all times.
    • Bookings are not confirmed until the deposit is paid; all fees and charges must be paid before the hire period starts.
    • Fire doors and emergency exits must remain unobstructed; access to stairways and exits must be clear.
    • Hirers may not transfer, assign, or sublet their rights.
    • Allow setup and clean-up within your hire period.
    • If the fire alarm is activated unnecessarily, a $500 + GST fine plus the fire brigade call-out fee of $2000 + GST applies.
    • Call-out fees apply if staff are required on site: $300 + GST plus $50 + GST per 15 minutes.
    • Failure to close the roller door when last on site incurs a $650 + GST charge.
    • For public events, public liability insurance of $20 million is required.
    • Hirers are responsible for all damages to 3Danks property caused by the hirer or guests.
    • Hirers agree to indemnify the Licensor from claims arising from use of the Centre, except where caused by the Licensor’s negligence.
    • The Licensor is not liable for loss of life, injury, or property loss unless due to its negligence.
    • Hirers use the Centre at their own risk and release the Licensor from claims, except where caused by the Licensor (unless acting on hirer instructions).
