Individual Studio / Space Hire

Our individual studios and spaces are available for hourly hire — but only if the full venue hasn’t been booked. These slots open up two weeks in advance, and bookings can be made directly through our online booking system. Be sure to check back regularly for availability!

General Venue Questions

  • We only hire out the entire space at a flat day rate however, open up available space two weeks before for individual studio / space hire at per hour rates. You can check availability and book online.

  • Yes, the entire space is wheelchair accessible.

  • Anything from workshops, seminars, product launches, production rehearsals, and performances. Essentially anything except for raging parties.

  • Yes, there is free 2P parking in the surrounding streets and a parking garage directly across the road.

  • Amplified music must finish by 9pm, and all guests must vacate the premises by 10pm.

  • Yes, we are generally pet-friendly. For specific pet-related events, please discuss with us.

    • 15-minute walk from Green Square and the new Waterloo Metro stations

    • 18-minute walk to Redfern Station

    • Minutes from buses connecting the CBD, eastern suburbs, and western suburbs.

  • Depending on the nature of your event, a security deposit may be required.

  • The venue is street-level with easy bump-in access. We have a driveway directly connected to the road, with space for a truck.

  • Yes, earlier access can be arranged at an additional charge, as a staff member will need to be on-site.

  • No, you can decorate as you like, as long as the venue is returned to its original condition.

  • Yes, we are open to working with your preferred vendors.

Event operations

  • Access is available from 9am, with earlier access available at an additional cost. Bump-out must conclude by 11pm unless otherwise arranged.

  • We’ll do our best to accommodate, depending on other bookings.

  • Yes, this can be arranged at an additional cost.

  • Staff are not included in the dry hire rate but can be provided at an additional cost.

  • Depending on the nature of your event, security may be required.

  • 3Danks does not have an on-site liquor license however has a caterer who can bring in the license. Short answer is yes but discuss with us your event.

    • A post-event clean is included in the hire, but you are responsible for returning the space to its original condition and disposing of rubbish.

  • All amplified music must stop by 9pm.

  • Yes, hirers must provide their own public liability insurance.

  • Yes, all bookings require a signed contract.

  • Any damage caused by the hirer or their guests must be repaired at the hirer’s expense.

Catering & Facilities

  • Yes, we have a caterer’s kitchen for prep and service.

  • Yes, you are welcome to bring in your own caterer.

  • No, there are no restrictions.

  • Yes, a bar is available.

  • All equipment on-site is included as part of the hire.

  • Yes, we have a caterer’s kitchen and bar.

  • Yes, we have fibre internet available.

  • We provide 60 fold-out chairs and 14 low round tables for use.

  • Yes, we can arrange additional equipment upon request.

Long Term / Multi-Day Hires

  • Yes, please get in contact.

  • Yes, this is no problem.

  • We provide a basic clean every two days during long-term hires.

Event Promotion

  • Yes, you can decorate the front area before entering the venue.

  • No, we are flexible with promotional activities.
